How to use the Sentence Grammar |

The Sentence Grammar describes the types of sentences and phrases existing in German, the elements a sentence or phrase consists of, and the word order of these elements in a sentence or phrase.
- How to find information on a specific subject in the Sentence Grammar:
In the above menu choose 'Sentence Grammar', then a specific subject (Sentence types, Constituents, Phrases, etc.), and search the requested information in the menu that appears on the left.
Alternatively, choose the option Grammar or All in the pop-up menu of the search box and enter a word or expression (e.g. subject, relative clause). The links shown in the result will lead you directly to relevant pages in the Grammar.
- How to find information on a linguistic term:
In the upper right corner of the page, click on Linguistic Terms with Link. If the term is underlined, click on it to see its defintion in the Glossary.
Alternatively, choose the option All in the pop-up menu of the search box and enter the linguistic term. As a result, you will see a list of links into the Glossary, Sentence Grammar, Wordformation, etc.
