The demonstrative pronouns and determiners are divided into the following classes:
Demonstrative pronouns are used to express a strong reference to a person, a thing, a fact. They are either an determiner of a noun or a substitute for a noun.
They refer anaphorically to something mentioned before, or cataphorically to something that will be said in what follows:
