- To restrict the search select Dictionary Word Forms from the list in the search field
- Tick the field case sensitive if you want to distinguish the infinitive of the verb from its nominalized form, e.g.
schreiben (verb) from (das) Schreiben (noun).
Wild card search
For more complex requests you may use so called wild cards. A * stands for an undefined number of undefined signs,
a ? for a single undefined sign. Hence, the search *foto* will yield the search result abfotografieren, Aerofotografie,
Aerofotogrammetrie etc. In order to see all the entries in the data base that start with the same letter, you combine that letter with the wild card, e.g. if you enter G* you will receive among others the entries Gemse, Gemsenjäger, etc. as
search result. The search ?ilde will result in wilde, Gilde, etc.
